The minors.

As you may know, Claiborne was the move for Jeter. He’ll be back soon.

AAA: SWB won 2-1. Graham Stoneburner 6 IP, 1 R, 2 H, (4-5, 4.65). Before you think of bringing up one of these guys to replace Hughes, let me tell you this. SWB is using relief pitchers as starters to basically get through the season. These guys are NOT replacements for Hughes. They aren’t even replacements for Joba in the bullpen, quite frankly. Dellin Betances 3 scoreless IP, 4 K. Three Railriders w/2 hits each. (C Murphy, CF Garcia, RF Medchill).

AA: 5-1 Trenton win. Nik Turley (10-8, 3.90) 1 UE run in 7 1/3. SS Carmen Angelini 3 H, 2 doubles, 2 rbi. RF Yeral Sanchez HR, 2 RBI.

High A: Tampa scored one in the top of the 9th but gave up 2 in the bottom and lost 3-2. Tampa starter Joel De La Cruz gave up 1 hit in 4 2/3 and that is the ONLY hit Clearwater got. What killed Tampa was that Tampa pitcher Zach Woods walked 5 in 1 2/3 IP. 4 walks and a SF brought in the 2 runs for Clearwater in the bottom of the 9th.

Low A: Charleston won 8-1. Eric Wooten 1 UE run, 9 K in 6 IP. 1B Greg Bird, HR, 3 RBI. 3 hits for CF Danny Oh. DH Rey Nunez 2 HR, 4 RBI.
