One bad inning, and a Chase Headley error, hurt Chris Capuano as the Yanks lost to the A’s Friday night, 6-2.
Capuano gave up 4 runs in the third inning. Later, rookie Jacob Lindgren, in his second major league game, got a rude welcome when the A’s got him for a 2-run HR.
Brian McCann homered for the Yanks (8). It was his fourth straight game with a HR. The Yanks’ other run scored on a Brett Gardner RBI groundout.
A-Rod had one hit, moving him to 2983.
Hopefully Eovaldi gets the Yanks back on track tonight.
Slade Heathcott was put on the DL. The Yanks brought up Ramon Flores.
The loss drops the Yankees to 25-24. They maintain a one-game lead in the division.
