Game 129. Yanks put up 20 as they sweep the Braves.

Nathan Eovaldi didn’t have his A game, but he didn’t have to have it to go to 14-2 as the Yanks hung a 20-spot on the Braves to sweep their weekend series with a 20-6 win on Sunday.

Jacoby Ellsbury had a 3-run HR (7). Chase Headley a 2-run HR (10) and Stephen Drew a 2-run blast (16) in the drubbing.

Drew got his average over .200 with a 4 for 4 day with 4 RBI.

Ellsbury had 3 rbi, and Headley was 3 for 3 with 4 rbi. A-Rod had a PH 2-run single and even pitcher Brandon Pinder had an RBI double.

1B Greg Bird had 2 hits and 2 RBI. The Yanks banged out 21 hits.

The win puts the Yanks at 72-57 and keeps them 1 1/2 behind Toronto in the AL East. The Yanks are safe for the wild card spot.

In Saturday’s game, a fan fell out of the upper deck and was killed. This sad occurence happened in the seventh inning.
