Well, one Yankee won a postseason award.
After getting shut out for Gold Glove winners, the Yankees’ Brian McCann nabbed a Silver Slugger Award for the best hitting catcher in the AL for 2015.
McCann hit just .232, but had 26 HR and 94 RBI. OPS+107.
The workload may have taken a toll in September, however. In the last 23 games that McCann played in the regular season, he hit .167 with just one extra-base hit, dropping that batting average from .245 to .232. The Yanks will have to try to keep him fresh for down the stretch in September 2016.
