S.T. Game 4. Two of the Yanks’ top prospects HR in Yanks’ 6-4 win.

Jorge Mateo and Aaron Judge, two of the Yanks’ top prospects, homered in the Yanks’ 6-4 win over Boston today. The win evens the Yanks’ S.T. record at 2-2.

Nine different pitchers pitched an inning each.

With the Yanks down 1-0 in the bottom of the third, Mateo tied the game up with his HR. The 20 yr. old SS will probably start the year at High A Tampa. He stole 82 bases last year.

Judge’s 3-run HR in the sixth made it 6-1. Judge, 24 in April, hit .255-20-72 between AA/AAA last year and is expected to start the year at AAA but is close to making his MLB debut. A big lad, he is 6’7″, 275. Old-timers like me would compare that to Frank Howard.

A-Rod went 2 for 2 with a walk. Jacoby Ellsbury tripled and scored.

Rob Refsnyder, another top prospect, singled and scored in his only at bat, and stole third as part of a double steal.

A good day for the Baby Bombers.

Pitching was good, except for Mark Montgomery, who had a tough day, giving up 2 HR.

The pitching line:
