S.T. Games 9 & 10. A loss and a tie.

cropped-the-stadium-facade.jpgThe Yankees had a split squad today, so I’ll start with the home game which the Yanks lost 11-4 to Toronto.

Nathan Eovaldi started and did well, but the relievers struggled.Aroldis Chapman debuted.

Eovaldi 2 IP, 0 R, 0 H, 0 walks and 0 K.
Miller 1 IP, 2 R, 4 H, 0 walks and 2 K.
Betances 1 IP, 0 R, 0 H, 0 walks and 1 K.
Chapman 2/3 IP, 1 R, 0 H, 2 walks and 1 K.
Moreno (L) 1 1/3, 5 R, 4 ER, 3 H, 1 walk, 2 K, gave up a HR.
Cloyd 1 IP, 0 R, 1 H, 0 walks and 0 K
Pestano 1 IP, 2 R, 3 H, 0 walks and 1 K
Webb 1 IP, 1 R, 2 H, 0 walks and 0 K.

Carlos Beltran had 2 H and an RBI. Jonathan Diaz had a 2-run HR.

In the away game, the Yanks tied the Orioles 4-4. They had a 4-1 lead but gave up 3 unearned runs.

Jacoby Ellsbury had two hits, and Starlin Castro, playing SS, was 3 for 3 with 3 RBI. He did make an error, however.

Plans for Castro to play 3B have been put on hold, and that may be good news for Rob Refsnyder, who did play 3B today in this game and who went 1 for 3.

Mitchell 3 IP, 1 R, 4 H, 0 walks and 2 K. Gave up a HR.
Haynes 2 IP, 0 R, 1 H, 1 walk and 2 K.
Swarzak 1 IP, 0 R, 2 H, 0 walks and 1 K.
Pazos 2/3 IP, 3 R, ALL UNEARNED, 2 H, 1 walk and 2 K.
Green 1/3 IP, 0 R, 1 H, 0 walks and 0 K.
Bleier 1 Ip, 0 r, 0 h, o walks and 1 K.
Lail 1 IP, 0 R, 0 H, 0 walks and 1 K.

The Yanks are 2-6-2 this spring.
