Yankee Stadium Frieze

It was a lost weekend in Boston as for the second time in three days, Dellin Betances served up a HR that decided the game in Boston’s favor. The Yanks lost Sunday night 8-7.

Things aren’t good, to say the least. The Yanks were swept this weekend in Boston, have lost five in a row, and 13 of their last 17. They are now 8-15.

Alex Rodriguez had a 2-run HR (5, 692) and a two-run double.

Both starters, Eovaldi for the Yanks and Price for Boston, struggled.

Backup OF Aaron Hicks is now 2 for 26 on the season.

Jacoby Ellsbury made a bad baserunning play in the first that may have cost the Yanks a run.

The Yanks are off today. They need it.

Eovaldi 5 IP, 6 R, 10 H, 3 walks, 3 K. 5.46. Gave up 1 HR.
Nova (L, 1-1, 5.14) 1 2/3 IP, 1 R, 2 H, 0 walks, 0 K.
