Game 98. Yanks beat Giants, 5-2.

Carlos Beltran (career HR 413) and Mark Teixeira (career HR 403) homered,  and the Yanks beat the Giants Sunday afternoon 5-2.

Beltran’s HR (21) in the first gave the Yanks a 1-0 lead, and Teix’s 9th of the year made it 2-0 in the second.

The Yanks got three in the sixth on a DP groundout by Jacoby Ellsbury, an RBI single by Starlin Castro and an RBI double by Didi Gregorius.

Meanwhile, Nathan Eovaldi pitched six shutout innings before cracking in the seventh, when the Giants scored both of their runs.

Still waiting on the Chapman front. Rumors are flying about a possible deal to the Cubs.
