Game 123. Yanks blanked, 2-0.

Yankee Stadium Frieze

Chad Green pitched well, but got no run support as the Yanks lost to the Angels Sunday afternoon, 2-0.

Green gave up a run in the first, and Adam Warren gave up a run in the eighth.

Fine defensive plays by Jacoby Ellsbury, Gary Sanchez and Aaron Hicks saved a few more runs.

Offensively, the Yanks couldn’t get it going. They were 1 for 7 with RISP, and on that one, Mark Teixeira couldn’t score from second on a single.

The Yanks fall to 63-60.

Green (L, 2-3, 3.66) 6 IP, 1 R, 5 H, 1 walk, 5 K.
Swarzak 1 IP, 0 R, 0 H, 0 walks, 0 K. 5.79.
Warren 1 IP, 1 R, 3 H, 1 walk, 0 K,. 5.29 (Cubs/NYY)
