Arizona Fall League: Torres provides walk-off hit.

Yankee Stadium Frieze

Gleyber Torres, at 19, may be one of, if not THE youngest player in the Arizona Fall League this year, but he made his presence known with a walk-off single last night in Scottsdale’s 8-7 win.

Torres, normally a SS, played 2B last night.

It was a mixed night for Yankees’ prospects. Some of, but not all of the hitters did well. The pitchers did not.

Torres: 2 for 4. Scored 2 Runs. Single and Double. Walkoff single for his RBI. Also walked.
Tyler Wade: SS getting OF time. CF. 0 for 5, struck out 3x
Greg Bird: DH. 1 for 5. Another double.
Miguel Andujar. 3B. 1 for 4. single.

Dillon Tate: 1 IP of relief. 3 R, 4 H, 0 walks, 1 K. Gave up 1 HR.
J.P. Feyereisen: 1 IP, 2 R, 2 H, 3 walks, 0 K. Blew the save, got the win thanks to Torres.

I’ve read reports on Torres and pitcher James Kaprielian that are very favorable. Be patient, Yankees fans.
