Game 51. Aaron’s no “Hick” 4 Hits 6 RBI. Sanchez 2 HR in Yanks’ 12-2 win.

Aaron Hicks had 4 hits and 6 RBI, and Gary Sanchez hit 2 HR as the Yanks routed Toronto 12-2 to improve their record to 31-20.

The Yanks jumped out for 4 runs in the first.

Gardner led off the game with a double, and after a lineout by Sanchez, Judge singled him home. Holliday singled and Castro walked to load the bases, and after Gregorius struck out, Hicks cleared the bases with a double.

Sanchez hit his first HR of the game to make it 5-0 in the second.

He hit his second HR of the game (7), a 2-run shot, to make it 7-0 in the fourth.

With two out in the seventh, Didi reached on an error and Hicks doubled him in. Headley singled in Hicks to make it 9-0.

Toronto got a HR off off CC in the seventh and another off Green in the eighth to cut it to 9-2.

In the top of the ninth, Holliday singled, and after an out, Didi Gregorius singled. Hicks doubled in two runs and Headley singled in Hicks to make it 12-2, the final score.

Holliday 3 hits.
Hicks 4 hits, 6 RBI.
Headley 2 hits, 2 RBI.
