The minors. Lindgren continues to dominate.

AAA: S/WB off.

AA: Trenton won 7-3. Rough outing for Manny Banuelos, 3 R, 5 H, 0 walks and 5 K in just 3 2/3 IP. Jacob Lindgren continues to dominate. 1 scoreless inning, 1 hit, struck out the side. In 14 1/3 minor league innings (43 outs), Lindgren has struck out 33 batters and is 2-0, 0.63. 1B Greg Bird 4 for 4, double, 2 solo HR. 3B Dante Bichette, Jr. promoted to AA.

High A: Tampa split a DH.

Game 1: 6-5 loss. SS Cito Culver a 2-run HR. LF Anderson Feliz a 3-run shot.
Game 2: 3-2 win in 8 (7 inning games when a DH). RF Jose Rosario 2 RBI. RF Aaron Judge GW single.

Low A: Charleston lost both games of a DH.

Game 1: 2-0 loss. They got just four hits.
Game 2: 5-3 loss. CF Brandon Thomas 2 for 2, 1B Mike Ford 2 hits, rbi.

The minors.

AAA: SWB won 7-2. Bryan Mitchell (3-1, 2.88) 2 R in 5 IP. HRs by 1B Kyle Roller and RF/3B Adonis Garcia, who had 3 hits and 3 RBI. LF Taylor Dugas had three hits.

Michael Pineda should be pitching for SWB on Sunday.

AA: Trenton won 5-1. Good news. It seems like Manny Banuelos may finally be coming around after that Tommy John surgery. In his last three appearances, Banuelos has pitched 14 innings, has given up just two runs, only one of them earned, on just three hits. He has walked four and struck out 11 in that timespan (July 22nd on). Last night he pitched five innings, gave up 1 R, 1 H (a HR), three walks and four K. I wouldn’t expect him as a late season callup, but it seems like he may finally may be getting back to what he was before the surgery. Hopefully it is a good sign for 2015 for AAA or maybe later in 2015, the majors. It was BanuAelos’ first win of the season (1-3, 4.37). 3 hits, solo HR, RF Tyler Austin. SS Ali Castillo with a three-run HR.

High A: 6-4 win for Tampa. LF Anderson Feliz 2 hits, HR, 3 rbi. 1B Greg Bird 3 hits, rbi. SS Cito Culver 4 hits. RF Aaron Judge and C Trent Garrison each had two hits.

Low A: Charleston won 4-2. CF Mark Payton 3 hits. SS Tyler Wade, 3B Miguel Andujar and 1B John Murphy two hits each, rbi for Wade and Andujar. LF Michael O’Neill (Paul’s nephew) 2 RBI.

The minors.

AAA: SWB won 3-1. Bryan Mitchell 7 scoreless IP, 3 H, 6 K.

AA: Trenton won 7-3. A good outing for Manny Banuelos. 4 IP, 1 R (unearned) 0 H, 1 walk and 2 k. CF Jake Cave 3 h, triple, HR, 3 rbi. 2 h, HR, 2 rbi 2B Casey Stevenson.

High A: A 6-4 Tampa win. 1st round draft pick Jacob Lindgren with 1 2/3 IP of relief. 4 of his 5 outs were strikeouts. The 21-year-old lefty has pitched 13 innings so far, 27 K, 5 walks. 1 R on 5 hits. 2 doubles, 2 rbi for 3B Dante Bichette, Jr. Jose Rosario (Cf/2B) 2 hits, 2 rbi. 2 hits and one rbi for both 1B Danny Oh and LF Anderson Feliz.

Low A: 9-6 loss for Charleston. 1b Rey Nunez 3 hits, 2 doubles, rbi. 3B Miguel Andujar 2 hits, rbi.

The minors on 7-25-14.

AAA: SWB won the completion of the suspended game, 12-4, and then went on to win the regularly scheduled game as well.

In the suspended game, 2b Rob Refsnyder had 2 hits, which were a double and a solo HR. RF Zoilo Almonte had 4 hits, 3 of them HR, and drove in 7 runs. SS Carmen Angelini 3 h, 2 rbi. C Austin Romine 3 hits. SWB had 18 hits for the game.

The regularly scheduled game only went 7 innings, then. SWB won that one 3-1. LF Taylor Dugas 2 rbi. C John Ryan Murphy 2 h, rbi.

AA: 6-5 win for Trenton. Luis Severino went four innings, 2 R, 6 H, 1 walk and 7 K. C Gary Sanchez 2 h, 3 rbi. DH Ben Gamel 2 rbi.

Yankees fans may remember a 3B that the Yanks had in the early 1970s named Celerino Sanchez. It’s just funny that for a while, Trenton’s battery in the game last night was Severino and Sanchez.

High A: 6-1 win for Tampa. 2 h, HR, 2 rbi 1B Greg Bird. RF Anderson Feliz 2 h, 2 rbi. LF Jose Rosario 3 h, rbi. Caleb Smith, 6 IP, 1 R, 2 h. He was recently promoted from low A Charleston. He’ll be 23 soon and the lefty is 7-7, 2.79 in 20 starts overall this season. 91 K in 90 1/3 IP.

Low A: Charleston won 10-3. 3B Miguel Andujar 2 h, 3 rbi. DH Tyler Wade 4 h, 2 rbi.

The minors today

AAA: 10-7 win for SWB. Jose Ramirez having a tough adjustment to AAA so far. 3 R in 2 1/3. Three scoreless innings for Dellin Betances (5-4, 4.73). Solo HR for 2B Walt Ibarra and C J.R. Murphy. Murphy (just promoted from AA) shows much more of a stick than Romine and right now I’d demote Romine (7 for 55 as a Yankee) and see what Murphy could do. Murphy had 3 hits. CF Cody Grice with 2 h, both HR and 6 rbi. DH Randy Ruiz 2 hits.

AA: 5-3 win for Trenton. Shane Greene (just promoted) 3 R in 5 IP. Cesar Cabral and Jeremy Bleich 2 scoreless each. 2B Jose Pirela 2 H, HR and 3 RBI. 3B Reegie Corona 3 hits.

High A: 8-4 loss for Tampa. CF Ben Gamel solo HR. 2 H, HR and 2 RBI for 1B Saxon Butler. 3B Anderson Feliz 3 h, solo hr.

High A:  Tampa won 4-3 in 13. Scottie Allen 6 IP, 1 R, 7K. Cesar Cabral is back off the DL, but had a very shaky outing. 1 IP, 1 R, 2 H, 4 walks. CF Ben Gamel 3 hits. SS Carmen Angelini 2 H, rbi. RF Anderson Feliz 2 H, rbi and 3B Dan Fiorito 3 H, rbi.
