S.T. Game 12. Yanks 5, Red Sox 3.

Jonathan Galvez had two hits, including a bases-loaded triple, as the Yanks beat Boston Friday night 5-3 in spring training action.

Galvez, 24, a righty bat, has mostly played 2B and SS in his minor league career. He hasn’t hit the majors yet. The utility man has also played some LF, 3B and 1B. Last year for the Padres’ AAA club, he hit .280-10-52. He also has a .280 career minor league batting average.

The Yankees’ other two runs scored on a two-run ground-rule double by OF Mason (Classical Gas) Williams.

2B prospect Rob Refsnyder (.400 this spring) had a hit. It’s his defense (3 errors this spring) that needs work.

The pitching line.

Adam Warren 3 IP, 2 R, 4 H, 0 walks, 2 K.

A so-so outing for Warren, who probably is the favorite to land the #5 starting spot after Chris Capuano’s injury.

Chasen Shreve 2 Ip, 0 r, 0 H, 1 walk and 1 K.

Jose Ramirez 1 Ip, 0 R, 0 H, 0 walks and 1 K.

Brandon Pinder 1 IP, 1 R, 1 H, 0 walks and 1 K.

Nick Goody 1 IP, 0 R, 0 H, 1 walk and  3 K.

Jacob Lindgren 1 IP, 0 R, 1 H, 1 walk and 3 K.

Nice finish by Goody and Lindgren.

CC Sabathia will make his first spring training start on Tuesday.

The Yanks are now 7-4-1 for the spring.
