AAA: Well, if Mitre would have faltered, Igawa tried to make his statement. 7 IP, 0 R, 4 H, 1 walk and 4 K in SWB’s 2-1 win. Igawa is 8-3, 3.45. The only thing is, we have seen how his stuff has translated to the majors. He has a lot to prove in order to get back. Marte gave up a run in his one inning of work. Albaladejo pitched a scoreless 9th. Yurendell de Caster a solo HR.

AA: A 9-2 Trenton win. Jeremy Bleich 6 2/3, 1 R. Chris Malec a 3-run Hr. 2 hits and 2 RBI for Noah Hall. 3 hits and 2 rbi for you-know-who (Jesus Montero). 3 hits for James (Fenimore) Cooper.     

A+:  8-1 Tampa win. D.J. Mitchell 1 R in 7 ip. Kevin Smith and Austin Romine 3 hits each.

AA: Jesus Montero hit his 5th HR since his promotion to AA. It’s his fourth in the last three games.  Jason Johnson the loser, 8 runs in 3 2/3 as he tries to rehab. Jorge Vazquez 4 for 5, double, HR and 3 RBI. Montero 2 hits and 2 RBI. Chris Malec 2 hits, solo HR.

AA: Trenton swept a dh. 9-3 in Game 1. Jason Stephens 6 ip, 3 r. Montero 2-4, double, rbi. Jorge Vazquez 3-4, HR, 3 rbi. Chris Malec solo hr.  Four other players 2 hits each, Eduardo Nunez one of them and with 2 rbi.

Game 2: 3-0 win. 2 doubles, rbi for Noah Hall. 2 singles, rbi for Vazquez.

A+: No game for Tampa.

A-: Charleston loses 5-2. Venditte gave up an unearned run. Jose Pirela and Neall French each had 3 hits.  Dave Phelps 3 r in 6 ip.

AAA: SWB wins 8-2. Maybe Sergio Mitre can help out of the bullpen. He started went 7, gave up the 2 runs on 7 hits, K’d 5. No walks. Edwar finished, 2 scoreless, 2 hits, 2 Ks, no walks. Mitre, 28, was 10-23, 5.36 as mostly a starter for the Cubs and Marlins. (52 g started out of 78 total). Never know, maybe a role change may suit him better.
