AAA SWB lost the completion of a suspended game, and that coupled with a win by Durham, dropped SWB’s tragic # for being eliminated to 1. SWB did win the regularly scheduled game.

But SWB (82-66) is now 2 games out with 2 games left in the season.

COMPLETION OF SUSPENDED GAME--Lost 5-4 in ten innings. Was suspended at 1-1 in the sixth inning on August 7.

The 2023 World Baseball Classic has announced its coaching staff for Team USA. MLB Network’s Mark DeRosa will be the manager, and he will have Ken Griffey, Jr. as the hitting coach. Ex-Yankees Andy Pettitte (pitching coach) and Dave Righetti (bullpen coach) will also be on the staff.

Speaking of Pettitte, his son Jared this week was one of the pitchers in a combined no-hitter in the Florida Complex League (a league below Low A) for the Marlins’ affiliate.
