AA: Somerset (6-3) won 6-1. CF Tom Milone 2 hits, solo HR. 3B Oswaldo Cabrera 2 hits. 3 pitchers combined for 15 K

High A: Hudson Valley (4-5) lost 9-5. DH Oswald Peraza 2-run HR, 1B Steven Sensley 2 hits, RBI.

Low A: Tampa (6-3) lost 3-2. SS Max Burt 2 hits, RBI.

It’s hard to report pitchers’ accomplishments right now. In all these games, there have been three or more pitchers used. See the AA game above. It’s hard to report accomplishments, when, even if a pitcher did well and started the game, he didn’t even pitch four innings.

Minor League Report. SWB hits 4 HR in slugfest. Tampa’s Hauver homers in fifth straight game.

Minor League Report. Voit looking good.

AAA: SWB won 7-5. 1B Luke Voit 2 hits, 2-run HR. Miguel Andujar (playing LF) 2 hits, 2 RBI, solo HR (Voit and Andujar HRs back-to-back). OF Trey Amburgey solo HR. Brody Koerner started, 4 IP, 0 R, 1 H. Adam Warren 1 1/3 scoreless IP, 3 K. Trevor Lane 2 scoreless IP, 3 K.

I wonder if Frazier and Gardner keep hitting under .200 and Andujar proves he can play LF, if a change will be made. As for Voit, the Yanks really miss the HR leader of last season. Bruce (now retired) and Ford haven’t filled Voit’s void.

cropped-the-stadium-facade.jpg

AAA: With trade rumors swirling as we approach the trade deadline, I wonder how many scouts were in attendance to watch Deivi Garcia? How many not only here but elsewhere (see Luis Gil below) checking out players for a possible deal?

SWB (60-44) lost 4-2. 1B Mike Ford 2 hits, solo HR.

Deivi Garcia (AAA L, 1-1, 5.14) 6 IP, 4 R, 6 H, 2 W, 4 K. Gave up 2 HR.

Luis Gil (W, 1-0, 3.00) 6 IP, 2 R, 4 H, 2 W, 5 K.
