A concerning thing is that some Yankees’ prospects are off to very slow starts. In fact, there is an article (I think from NJ.com) on the internet about the regression of Jasson Dominguez, the Martian.

AAA: SWB (31-22) completed a game suspended on 4/20. That was strange because some players who where in that game are now down in AA or in the majors (Estrada, Hale). Anyway, they completed and lost that game 4-2. PH/1B Mike Ford 3 for 3, RBI.

They won the regularly scheduled game 9-2. Didi Gregorius had the day off. SS Tyler Wade 2 hits, 3 RBI. DH Ford (.369) 2 hits, 3 RBI, a 2-run HR. RF Ryan McBroom (.310) 3 hits.

AA Trenton off.

High A: CF Estevan Florial, who fractured his wrist in spring training, returned. He had 2 hits, 3 RBI (3=run HR) in Tampa’s (23-33) 8-4 loss. LF Tyler Hill 3 hits.

Low A: Charleston (31-26) won 4-3. CF Brandon Lockridge 2 hits, 1 RBI (solo GW HR in 8th). DH Canaan Smith 3-run HR in 3rd inning. (.318). Jhony Brito 3 1/3 scoreless relief innings for the win.

In the MLB Draft, the Yanks used pick #30 of the draft to select high school SS Anthony Volpe. With pick #38, they chose LHP T.J. Sikkema from the University of Missouri and with pick #67 2B Josh Smith of LSU.
